SHEET Scout Group came together for the last ceremony in their hut on Sheet recreation ground before a refurbishment project on the building begins at the end of this month.

The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, leaders, families and friends, enjoyed an open air cooked breakfast before commemorating St George on April 22 – the saint’s day is April 23 – at a short open air service led by the Rev Will Hughes of St Peter’s Church in Petersfield.

He reminded them it wasn’t the hut that made Sheet Scouts a group worth belonging to, but the people who used the hut that made being a Scout worthwhile.
