A COMMUNITY group has treated people in a village west of Petersfield to a day of baa-rilliant fun.

Sheep racing, live music from Forever Young and children’s entertainment were among the highlights of the annual Stroud Revels event.

The event, which took place at Rothercombe Farm last Saturday, attracted some 350 people and was organised by Stroud Area Residents Association (SARA).

“It went really well and there was a good crowd,” said Glen Wellstead, the SARA committee member who came up with the event’s name.

“We had a very good children’s entertainer, a bouncy castle, food stalls and it was just very enjoyable.

“There was also a couple of young girls who had a charity stall raising money for a snow leopard and they made £150 just selling little bits so they did very well.”
