PEOPLE who get around by bike or on foot in East Hampshire are being asked how this can be made easier for them.

East Hampshire District Council is compiling a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.

To help compile the plan, the council based at Penns Place wants to hear the views of cyclists and walkers via an online survey which closes on March 22.

A council spokesperson said: “A Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan is being developed to define and prioritise the essential infrastructure developments.

“So we are asking residents, cyclists and walkers to help us to get more people walking and cycling more often as part of their daily lives.

“You can do this by telling us how often you travel by bike or on foot, and what would encourage you to do more.

“And this information will help us shape the future of the district’s cycling and walking infrastructure.

“This will help to encourage more active travel and improve connectivity between our communities and across the magnificent East Hampshire countryside.”
