A PETERSFIELD charity providing care at home says it is humbled by the phenomenal generosity of those who have kept it going for the past 20 years.

The Rosemary Foundation of Lavant Street and Langrish provides hospice at home care for those with terminal illness living within 15 miles of Petersfield.

On Saturday (June 10) the charity hosted a traditional tea in East Meon Village Hall to celebrate its 20th birthday.

Clinical nurse manager Julie Cotsell said: “More than 70 people came to the tea party, and it was a very successful afternoon, and we raised more than £500 for the charity through donations and a raffle.

“We get no official funding, so for 20 years the people of Petersfield and surrounding villages have kept us going.

“As a charity we are humbled by the phenomenal generosity of people, it’s amazing and thanks to them we are hoping for a promising future.”

Donations to the Rosemary Foundation can be left at the reception desk of Barter, Durgan and Muir Solicitors in Lavant Street. For more details visit the website www.rosemary-foundation.org.uk or contact 01730 266329.
