IT WAS teamwork that pulled off the Liss Forest Fun Day on Bank Holiday Monday.

Liss Forest Residents’ Association (LFRA) chairman Peter Coley and his committee headed up a large team of volunteers who delivered an afternoon of fun and fundraising for the whole community.

By the time the dog show and children’s races took place there were several hundred on the recreation field enjoying the sunshine.

A total of £1,000 was raised, which will go to local charities, in addition to around £500 raised by individual charity stallholders, which included the Diabetic Association and Rosemary Foundation.

The afternoon was backed by the Petersfield Apprentices, a ten-piece jazz group. St Mary’s Church provided teas and the Scouts a barbecue, and mums and dads took part in a tug of war struggle.

LFRA secretary Sue Rose was presented with a bouquet for her work.
