STROLLING through lavender fields might have been an unusual way of keeping cool during last weekend’s red hot sunny weather.
But it is a walk which would have triggered the senses as visitors’ nostrils would have been filled with a distinctive scent as they strolled through the Lavender Fields at Hartley Park Farm near Selborne.
The venue has just held its popular open weekends, which took place on July 1-2 and July 8-9.
There were a whole host of activities to keep visitors entertained, including a tour and talk by owner Tim Butler, tractor and trailer rides, beekeeping, willowcraft, photographic workshops, a child portrait photographer and massage therapist.
