SHEET Film Festival went down a storm, in more ways than one.
The stage fittings were almost brought down by the thunderstorm in the early hours of Saturday last weekend (May 26 and 27), but the show well and truly went on.
Crowds gathered in their hundreds on Friday night and Saturday to listen to an entertaining live music line-up, to watch film screenings and view photographs.
The event, a firm favourite on the village calendar now, was organised by residents Will Glancy and Nicole Small, and a committee of helpers.
Andrew Sydenham was master of ceremonies and handed out awards.
Joe Dawson won the adult award for his funny film Scared Witless, and Fleur Ash was the junior winner with her clever Reverse Film.
Of the photographs, all based on the name of a film, Poppies by Judy Newbury was judged the winner. Tommy Pillans was the junior winner with his The Boy with the Golden Sun.
