PEOPLE who like a stripped back sound will love new duo Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage, who are a hotly-anticipated act at Grayshott Folk Club on April 15.

They have both been around the folk scene for many years but have only recently joined forces, with their beautiful voices and gorgeous guitar playing picking up plaudits.

Hannah has visited the club in Grayshott Village Hall before, including a solo performance in March 2015, so members will know just how good she is. Ben has also put in a performance there too with Cambridge band The Willows.

Their debut album is Before the Sun, featuring a mix of traditional songs from both sides of the pond, a couple of covers, and self-penned numbers.

“Our intention all along was simply to be a part of a revival of the duet singing that we love so much,” they explain.

Hannah and Ben play their show around a single vintage microphone, which has been described as a “craft heavy, intimate warm experience”.

“We would love for people to leave our shows feeling uplifted.

“We have been told that we are a duo who look and sound classically timeless, yet feel refreshingly unique,” they added.

Supporting are Gareth and Annie Baylis from Cornwall.

Tickets are £12, £6 for under-16s. To book call Des O’Bryne on 01428 607096.
