A COURSE that could change the life of a struggling parent will begin in a fortnight’s time in Clanfield.

A warm welcome will be guaranteed when Home-start Butser launches a ten-week volunteer training course in the Memorial Hall on September 29.

The good cause wants to reach out to more people in the Clanfield area as around 15 per cent of the families that currently receive support from the Petersfield charity come from the village.

That figure looks set to rise as more people move into new housing off Green Lane so the need for extra volunteers and ambassadors is constantly rising.

Volunteers willing to give up a couple of hours of spare time every week will play a vital role in releasing the potential of parents and giving children the best start in life.

Training sessions will take place in the hall every Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm. For more details contact 01730 233755 or visit website: www.homestart-butser.org.uk
