MORE than 40 voters asked in Petersfield have given their thoughts on how they will vote in tomorrows in or out EU referendum.

Here are just some of their views.

Neal Baker of Catherington said: “On balance, I’m in. While personally I believe there are many advantages from leaving the European Union (EU), the economic impact in the short to medium term, say three to five years, would probably be profound.”

Rowland Howes of Clanfield said: “We’ve got no control over our own sovereignty and borders. We’ve also got unelected people that don’t have to account for money when their accounts haven’t been signed off for 20 years or more.”

Christine Harris of Catherington said: “I’m for remaining. I think people have got too hung up with the immigration stuff. We also don’t know what is going to happen if we leave because if we do it’ll be too late to change anything and there’s no going back.”

Alan Meredith of Horndean said: “I’m definitely out because I want our sovereignty back. I’m fed up with people in Brussels, who are all unelected, telling us what to do. That’s been my view for quite a while and nothing’s going to change that.”

Alan Turner of Portsmouth said: “I’m going to vote to stay in the EU. I feel my life is really good along with the way this country is run at the moment. I just feel that the people who are voting to leave don’t actually know what’s going to happen.”

Gill Whately of Horndean said: “I’m voting remain. The EU needs reforming but leaving is not the best thing for this country. We need immigration. I also believe the economy will suffer as a result if we leave and everyone in Europe will hate us.”
