MORE than 80 people enjoyed a barn dance in St Peter’s Church in Petersfield, organised by John Deavin and Christine Rushton with music by the Bursleden Village Band. Church spokesman Tanya Heath said: “It was wonderful to see such a mix of people enjoying themselves and getting to know new people and new dances. Partners were swung with great enthusiasm and varying proficiency, and a sausage supper was enjoyed by everyone. “It was held to raised £500 for repairs to the church and St Peters’ Hall.”
