SHOPPERS in Petersfield have been given the gift of free parking this Saturday to help kick-start their festive shopping sprees. East Hampshire District Council car parks at Swan Street, Festival Hall, Castle Yard, Central and The Causeway will be free all day as part of the council’s drive to promote Small Business Saturday. This is a national campaign encouaging shoppers to focus on local, independent stores. Civic leaders have united in their message to help keep these stores as the lifeblood of the local economy.
