AN “ICONIC” barn in Petersfield is set become a “destination” beauty venue after an ambitious makeover.
The Old Barn, which was home to Victoriana antiques, on the junction of North Road and Station Road is being converted into an exclusive day spa and beauty treatment salon, called We Love.
The woman behind the building makeover is Rae Palmer, who has worked in the beauty industry for more than 20 years, and is a UK Ambassador for Revlon.
She said: “It is being completely renovated, which is a big responsibility as it is an iconic building in the town, with amazing character.
“Petersfield is up and coming and such a cool place to live with so much going for it, that hopefully the spa will become a destination for people from all over, from London, Kent everywhere.”
Inside, the downstairs will be themed around the Hampshire lavender fields, and there will be spas, massages, makeup, aromatherapy, hairdressers, and treatment rooms.
Upstairs will take its design inspiration from the Hampshire rose, and there will be room for brides to have a beauty and dress try out before their wedding day – and enjoy a champagne lunch.Rae hopes to open the ground floor in May, with a grand opening of the whole building in July.
