THIS year’s Petersfield Mayoral Christmas Card competition attracted a large number of high quality entries from students at The Petersfield School.
Petersfield Mayor James Deane, took time out from his busy pre-Christmas schedule to make the difficult decision of who was the winner and runners up this year.
First place went to William J Jones, second place to Conal Templeman and third place to Sophie Hughes, and all three students received gift vouchers for £25, £15 and £10 respectively.
Mr Deane spent time with the students, discussing their artwork. He also commented on the high quality of all the entries this year.
Head of Visual Arts, Gary Leeson, said, “We had an excellent turn out and response to the competition and it’s fantastic to celebrate the talent and creativity of our students.
“Our winning students’ work will showcase the ability of TPS students nationally on the Mayor’s Christmas Card which will be sent out across the United Kingdom.”
