THE MAYOR was suitably impressed when he viewed a stunning display of photos by a Petersfield pupil.

Cllr James Deane was one of the guests at the opening of the Uganda The Country exhibition by Henry Green at The Studio@TPS.

Henry’s headteacher at The Petersfield School, Mark Marande, was also there to praise and encourage the 14-year-old GCSE photography student.

It was a proud moment for Henry when he saw his 27 images of the streetlife and wildlife of the African country mounted on the walls at the studio space.

He took the photos on a trip with a twinning project at Queen Elizabeth Country Park after being inspired by the colour and character of the country and its people.

The exhibition, which was also seen by members of Petersfield Photographic Society, was open to the public on two days last week. His work can be viewed at www.henrymgreen.com
