A crafty initiative in a south of Butser community has been given a helping hand by three district councillors.
James Hogan, Elaine Woodard and Sara Schillemore have all given a £1,000 handout from the EHDC Councillor Grant Scheme to Horndean Men’s Shed.
The money has gone towards the installation of a secure lockup container at the group’s base at Horndean Technology College, providing the growing outfit with vital storage space for tools and materials.
Men's Shed is a nationwide community-run scheme that brings men together to engage in practical projects, share skills and foster friendships.
Each EHDC councillor is given £7,000 to support to community projects in their patch, with recent projects including a handcrafted planter for Clanfield Junior School.
