WORK on the Liss Neighbourhood Plan is reaching a climax after a year of work by volunteers from the Liss community.

People can see what the plan is likely to say at an exhibition on Saturday, from 2pm to 5pm in Liss Village Hall.

The exhibition will give a good idea of what will be in the plan, and it is an opportunity to see how the work has been carried out, and what happens next.

The big issue is the selection of sites for a minimum of 150 dwellings. The exhibition will show the preferred sites, why they have been selected and how they could be developed. It is also important to ensure that what is built meets local housing needs.

Other issues are the quality of design of new development, future community provision proposals for Local Green Space and protection of countryside, and the problems of parking and traffic in the village.

The public’s comments and feedback are essential so they are urged to attend the exhibition.
