PETERSFIELD Town supporters will attempt a great feat this weekend as they’re limbering up for 20-mile charity walk to their away opponents.

Raising a big sum will be the goal on Saturday when fans walk to Portsmouth in aid of the club and the mayor’s chosen charities.

The mayor will kick off the Rams Ramble at 7am with supporters hopeful of reaching the PMC Stadium in time for Town’s clash with Baffins Milton Rovers.

Councillor JC Crissey gave the impression to Petersfield Town Council last Thursday that he intended to take part – albeit in a Pompey shirt – before inviting his colleagues to join in.

The ‘PTFC Ramble Fundraiser’ is open to everyone with supporters welcome to join up with the fundraisers at Rowlands Castle and Havant for shorter nine and five-mile walks.

Proceeds will be split 50/50 between the club and The Kings Arms, Dementia Friendly Hampshire, the 1927 (Petersfield) Squadron ATC and Petersfield Musical Festival.
