POLICE are appealing for information after a Petersfield man was left with injuries following an attack in the town.
Police were called to the central car park next to Waitrose at about 7.20 on Sunday evening (January 8) after a delivery driver saw an assault on the man, well known in Petersfield and thought to be disabled.
The incident happened opposite the car park end Bakery Lane and involved two other men.
A police spokesman said on Monday, January 9: “A man in his 50s sustained minor injuries after an assault.
“A 35-year-old man from Petersfield and a 42-year-man from Southsea have been arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody.”
He asked if anyone saw the incident, or had any information regarding it, that they contact police on 101, and quote crime reference number 44170009148.
