Five Hampshire MPs have enjoyed £22,270 worth of free flights, festival tickets and VIP hospitality in the last year.

The freebies include a £3,200 trip to Israel and Palestine funded by Conservative Friends of Israel and nearly £5,000 in BRIT Awards tickets.

All donations, gifts and hospitality received by MPs are listed in The Register of Members’ Financial Interests as per parliamentary rules.

This requires politicians to register any donations over £1,500 towards their work, gifts and UK hospitality worth more than £300, and overseas visits linked to their role once the value passes the same £300 threshold.

In the past year, Hampshire MPs Paul Holmes, Liz Jarvis, Suella Braverman, Dame Caroline Dinenage and Sir Julian Lewis have declared various gifts and donations.

Conservative Gosport MP Dame Caroline Dinenage tops the local leaderboard after declaring £10,353.94 in free tickets and hospitality.

This is almost double the value recorded by Reform MP for Fareham and Waterlooville Suella Braverman, and Conservative MP for Hamble Valley Paul Holmes.

The register shows that she accepted nearly £5,000 in BRIT Awards tickets and hospitality, a Google‑funded package for a major music festival, and VIP access to events ranging from Victorious Festival in Portsmouth to the Derby Festival at Epsom.

When asked about the gifts, Dame Caroline said: “All hospitality I receive is solely as a result of my role as Chair of the Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Select Committee.”

Meanwhile, fellow Conservative Paul Holmes has declared £5,428.83 in gifts and overseas visits.

This includes a £640 ticket and hospitality package for Wimbledon 2025 from the Lawn Tennis Association, a £3,200 fact‑finding visit to Israel and Palestine funded by Conservative Friends of Israel, and a £1,588.83 defence‑focused trip to Helsinki paid for by ELNET UK.

Mr Holmes said he visited Israel and the Palestinian Territories “in my role as a member of the Conservative Friends of Israel” and visited Finland to “visit military installations and civic readiness in relation to the Russian/Ukraine war in the context of NATO.”

Neighbouring MP, Liberal Democrat for Eastleigh Liz Jarvis, only declared one gift – a ticket and hospitality for a Champions League match between Chelsea and Pafos from the Premier League worth £555.

Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman declared £5,133.51 in gifts and overseas visits.

These include a £1,175.32 trip to Belfast funded by the Prosperity Institute, a £745.95 package from Conservative Friends of Israel to attend and speak at the group’s event at Conservative Party conference in Manchester, £514 in VIP tickets for a centenary dinner honouring Margaret Thatcher, a £1,166 VIP box for a Chisora v Wilder boxing match at the O2 arena, and a £1,532.24 visit to Strasbourg, again funded by the Prosperity Institute.

She said the latter was to “film an explainer for a policy paper on leaving the European Convention on Human Rights.”

New Forest East MP Sir Julian Lewis declared £699 in hospitality from foreign‑policy think tank the Henry Jackson Society.

The entry covers two nights’ accommodation and conference dinners for his participation as a panellist in the Reagan/Jackson Security Dialogue held in Cambridge in February 2026.

He said that normally his only registrable interest is the rental income from a “buy-to-let flat in which I invested some years ago.”
