AN?AWE-inspiring array of arts and crafts on display in Petersfield attracted hundreds of visitors and buyers.
The annual six-day showcase for the work of the members of Petersfield Art and Crafts Society (PACS) is a much anticipated event.
With exhibits from ceramics, textiles and woodwork to stained glass, paintings and prints on offer, it certainly did not disappoint.
Last year’s show saw 2,500 people through the Festival Hall doors, and organisers expected similar support from the community this year.
“When you look around at the level of talent we have here, we are well blessed,” said Ray Grant, who was displaying tables made from local wood, and stained glass panels.
This year’s sales manager, textile artist Mike Wallace, won an award for his hanging. He is often the lone male in textile classes, but he is passionate about fabric collage and tapestry.
Other awards were won by Anne Bowen, Barry Green, Stephanie Morgan, Anita Gallatly, Beryl Noyce, Brian Griffin, Nigel Hobbs, Harry Butler and Georgina Walton.
