Thieves left empty-handed following an early morning burglary at a salon in Petersfield town centre last week.

Hampshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after the Review salon in St Peter’s Road was broken into sometime between 1am and 4.20am last Tuesday (May 20).

The culprits smashed the front door before entering the property and removing the till draw, only to leave it outside as there was no cash inside.

“Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information about who may be responsible for this incident,” said a spokesperson for Hampshire Police in launching the appeal.
