DINERS at a restaurant in Horndean are being offered the chance to help a hospice while enjoying their meal.

All proceeds from Dining Out For Rowans at Four London Road will go to the Rowans Silver Jubilee Appeal.

The 25-year-old Purbrook hospice wants to raise £7.5million to fund a programme of refurbishments and extensions.

Rowans Hospice is the chosen charity of Four London Road and it has already staged a number of events to raise money for it.

Tickets for Dining Out For Rowans, which will take place on the evening of October 10, cost £35 per person for a set menu.

A disc jockey will provide musical entertainent and more money will be raised through a silent auction, wheel of fortune and raffle.

Restaurant manager Elio Haycock-Martinisi said: “Here at Four London Road we feel we want to give something back to the community that we quite literally serve. So that is why we selected Rowans to support, as it is such an important local charity.

“We have been really pleased with the response we have received from our patrons, who have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the different fundraising events we have held and donating to our Just Giving page.

“That is what has spurred us on to arrange the Dining Out For Rowans night.

“We are hoping the evening will have a great celebratory vibe, creating a great evening for friends and loved ones to come together and enjoy themselves while knowing every penny they spend will be raising money for this incredible charity.”
